Dolores Joan (Driewer) Friesen passed away on February 18, 2023, in Geneva, Nebraska at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 11 days. She was born January 7, 1934, to Werner & Ruth (Isernhagen) Driewer in Agra, Kansas, the third of four children.

Friesen signs off as senator

Eight years after first being elected to the Nebraska Legislature, Curt Friesen is preparing to drop the word senator from his title this week, offering insight and reflection as he steps away from a role he said he has no regrets about leaving.
