Proctors found, giving family closure

The tears were still flowing Monday morning for the Proctor family as they processed the end of a long, painful journey.

On Feb. 24, Valeriy is out in the cool waters of the Black Sea as part of an international shipping company based in Ukraine. Within 24 hours, life for him and his family will be turned upside down.

Faith, family have and always will be the joy of Christmas

This week’s edition of the News-Register offers a special gift in the form of a giant Christmas card to the community, from the community. It’s the largest edition of the year, by far, including holiday greetings from your friends and neighbors of all ages, as well as local businesses.

Aurora had the last laugh, defeating the SkyHawks 21-17 after trailing by 10 in the fourth quarter. Back to the finals In order to make a return trip to the Class B finals, the Husky football team depended on a pair of huge plays from basketball players as first-year seniors.  Preston Ramaekers and Tate Nachtigal didn’t play a year ago, but were huge factors in Aurora extending its season.

Sozo Family Services expands, relocates

Sozo Family Services has expanded its scope of services in Aurora, prompting a move to a larger facility on Highway 14 at a time when staff and board members say there is a growing need for a wide range of emotional support.
