Hawks win state in land judging

Wednesday, Oct. 20 was a big day for local FFA land judging teams, as students from Aurora, Hampton and High Plains gave it their all on a section of land outside Bertrand.  Among students from 39 high schools, local names fared well.

Kliewer named champion at Nebraska Bid Calling contest

Aurora’s Mark Kliewer with Kliewer Auction Services took his talent to the Nebraska Bid Calling contest and walked away this year’s champion. When asked how it felt to be selected to represent Nebraska at the international level of competition, Kliewer said it felt great.
