Over the last few months, I have been writing about workforce challenges. I have covered why we are experiencing these challenges now, what is causing the labor shortage, what businesses can do during this challenging time and how the community can help.

The Aurora Development Corporation had a productive though challenging fiscal year in 2020-21, prompting its president to tell stockholders during the annual meeting last week that groundwork has been laid which could lead to real and significant growth in the next five years.

City approves ADC’s request to extend CDBG loan

City leaders agreed earlier this month to extend the terms of a Community Development Block Grant program, allowing the Aurora Development Corporation two more years to meet job creation requirements tied to a $710,000 grant from the Nebraska Development of Economic Development.
