Cauy Walters has enjoyed playing a variety of sports over his young life. It wasn’t until more recently, though, that golf became the dominant sport for him.
Now after several years on Aurora’s varsity lineup, the senior Husky now has a future in a college golf lineup.
Walters signed a letter of intent Thursday to continue his academic and golf career at Doane University.
The Aurora senior shared during his signing ceremony that he was excited to make his decision official and get back to doing what he likes best -- getting on the course.
Walters took a visit to Doane and really enjoyed what he saw, from the facilities to the coaches and everything in between.
Doane’s golf coach, Myron Parsley, has more in common with Walters than just golf. They both hail from Hamilton County and had plenty to talk about from that aspect, too.
