All three area boys teams have been eliminated from the Crossroads Conference Basketball Tournament in York, with High Plains falling to No. 1 seed Osceola in second-round action Monday while Hampton and Gitlner both lost their openers on Saturday.

High Plains 48, Meridian, 37
First-year coach JT Hamm said he knew Saturday’s afternoon tilt against Meridian was going to be a battle, and was proud to see his Storm players emerge victorious after a hard-fought 48-37 showdown, posting the team’s first CRC tournament win since the 2015-16 season.
Cole Swanson led the charge for High Plains scoring 15 points in the contest, 11 of those coming down the stretch with the game on the line.
