Outside of a number of impressive plays by the Aurora Post 42 Pinnacle Bank Seniors, the team couldn’t quite find the groove during its most recent week of baseball.
Wednesday’s game against Palmer-Wolbach-Greely slipped through the Seniors’ fingers early, with PWG earning its first run in the bottom of the first inning as the result of a steal home.
On the mound, Aurora pitcher Connor Smith produced a strikeout, leaving his batter swinging for the fences. He followed this trend again in the bottom of the second, picking up a pair of strikeouts.
Smith pitched for four innings and produced a total of four strikeouts.
