Mack Owens has always wanted to be a football player. He’s certainly always looked like one.
Playing college football was the goal. That dream came true Dec. 15.
Owens officially signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and football career at the University of South Dakota during early signing day.
On a day full of smiles, hugs and handshakes, Owens said multiple times that playing college football is a dream come true.
It was always the end goal, since fourth grade,” he said. “It’s gone by really fast but I’ve always wanted to play college football. I’m excited about it.”
Owens had interest from several schools, including North Dakota, Idaho State, North Dakota State, South Dakota State as well as slight interest from larger schools such as Wyoming, Nebraska and Vanderbilt.
