The Lady Huskies continue to add confidence and experience to their collective golf bags, earning three individual medals and a runner-up team finish in Saturday’s home invitational.
On a hot, historically significant day to play, Aurora posted a 430 total at Poco Creek Golf Course, well back of Columbus Scotus, which won the title with a 381.
“Our scores probably weren’t great, but it was kind of a tough day to play and Poco Creek can be pretty tough as well,” noted Aurora coach Rick Bell. “A lot of our golf balls found the creek, but I was actually pleased with how they all played today. Even our JV kids played well.”
Three Aurora seniors earned medals on their home course. Grace Ziegler finished third with a 99, Izzy Hoos was 9th with a 105 and Maddie Krejci claimed the 10th place medal with a 107.
