The Lady Husky runners found themselves in a familiar spot, again finishing runner-up at the Central City Invite on the Valley View Golf Course Thursday.
The explosive freshmen duo of Alexis Ericksen and Ella Eggleston took home third and fourth, respectively, as well as breaking new personal records for themselves at 20:29 and 20:33. The rest of the team got out to a slow start but finished strong after a week of tough practice, coach Tony Sigler admitted.
“We were pretty far back at the start and moved well towards the middle and the end,” Sigler stated. “It’s just one of those things that we need to clean up. We practice it, we just need to preach it a bit more.”
