Aurora senior’s college plans shifted with golf offer

Maddie Krejci didn’t really take golf too seriously before entering high school four years ago.
The Aurora senior wasn’t really considering going to Peru State College after high school just a few months ago, either.
Now, Krejci is set to play college golf at Peru State after a whirlwind recruitment process.
Krejci signed her letter of intent to attend Peru State College and play college golf March 18, never once letting the smile wander from her face.
“I am beyond excited. I can’t even put it into words,” Krejci said. “I didn’t really know if this was something I wanted to do in college, it was something to keep me active in high school.”
When Krejci got an offer to play college golf at Peru State, however, her mindset began to shift.
