Aurora and High Plains will compete in their respective volleyball district final matchups Saturday with a trip to the state tournament on the line.

The Lady Huskies will host Gering in the B-7 district final set for a 1 p.m. start time while High Plains takes on BDS in the D1-2 final to be played at Hampton at 3 p.m.

Aurora enters Saturday's Halloween matchup with a 21-12 overall record as Gering heads east at 12-13. Aurora is looking for its first state tournament appearance since 2016. Aurora fell in four sets to York in the B-6 subdistrict final, but qualified for the district finals based on points.

High Plains has put together one of the best seasons in school history with a 19-11 record and will play the defending state champs, BDS, who has compiled a 27-3 mark. The Lady Storm defeated Central Valley in five sets during the D1-6 subdistrict final to extend its season. High Plains has never made the state volleyball tournament as a consolidation, with its last appearance coming in 1997 as Polk-Hordville.
