The Aurora golf team is starting to string some rounds together, and pretty good ones at that.
The Huskies played in a pair of tournaments in two days, competing in the Beatrice Invite April 25 and the Holdrege meet April 26.
The Beatrice invite was a big one in terms of later in the season with the Orangemen hosting Aurora’s district.
The Huskies look to be right in the thick of it, finishing third as a team at Beatrice with a 354, behind Norris and York.
Aurora coach Craig Badura was hopeful for a top five finish as a team, so to finish third was a nice bonus.
“Going in, I was hoping to get into the top five as a team and to sneak into that three spot was great,” Badura said. “I would love for that to happen in a couple weeks at districts.”
