The Aurora girls golf season came to a close in Grand Island last week, as the Lady Huskies ended the 2022 campaign with a sixth place team finish in the B-3 District golf tournament at Jackrabbit Run.
Coach Rick Bell predicted in August that this would be a growing year for the Lady Huskies, and he summarized the season as a good experience overall, though lacking in medals and trophies.
“I thought we got better as the year went on,” he said. “We didn’t get better around the greens, unfortunately, and that’s mainly due to the fact that we didn’t get to practice too much around greens, but I was pleased with what our seniors (Annalese Talkington and Laura Hansen) did and am thankful for their leadership.”
