As the final seconds ticked away in one of the toughest situations for any athlete, Ethan Shaw never put his head down in defeat.
The senior quarterback for the Huskies had three turnovers in a 42-19 loss to Elkhorn in the Class B state championship and instead of passing blame, sulking or running off by himself, he was there for every one of his teammates.
He answered every question from the local media, doing so with thoughtful reflection and a special leadership quality that most in his position don’t possess.
