Post 42 Juniors set for district play starting Friday

Body

It was a busy stretch of competition for the Aurora Cooperative Post 42 Juniors team as the regular season winds down.
Aurora played three games in three days and now has one game left before districts begin this week.
The Aurora Cooperative Juniors lost an 8-0 game at York June 29, defeated Kearney 10-7 June 30 before losing to Central City at home 18-2 Thursday.
Aurora Cooperative Juniors coach Bodie Moeller explained that playing three games in three days is challenging, but something the team has to do well, given the district tournament coming in a few days.
“When we play well, we do a lot of good things,” Moeller said. “Against York, we gave up five in the first and only three after that. The game finished in about 50 minutes because we played well after that. We have to come in locked in and focused.”
