Body

Maddex Egger had a huge night for the Huskies to solidify Aurora's standing in the Class C1 playoffs.

The senior running back was unofficially credited with 297 yards on 41 carries to lead Aurora to a 41-27 win at home over Central City in the regular season finale.

Egger scored three touchdowns, two in the first quarter alone, helping the Huskies to finish 6-3 in the regular season.

Hampton was not as fortunate as Stuart capitalized on a couple Hawk third quarter fumbles to pick up a 59-46 victory and take back the D6-2 district championship to Bronco country.

Both the Huskies and Hawks will be moving on to their respective C1 and D6 16-team playoff brackets, which will be formally announced Saturday morning. We will post updates on our social media channels.

As for High Plains, the Storm began its postseason run Thursday night, traveling to Nebraska City to take on Lourdes Central Catholic.

The Storm put together a huge second half rally, but fell a score short, losing 28-20 to end its season with a 5-4 record.

Listed are all area teams and the scores of those games with the winning team in bold:
