Saturday CRC basketball action in York was filled with hard-fought basketball for three area teams, with Hampton, Giltner and High Plains facing losses in each one.

McCool 58, Giltner 32
The Lady Hornets burst out of the gates Saturday with their highest point total in the first quarter of their early afternoon game against the Lady Mustangs. Giltner scored 11 of its 32 points in the opening stanza, unfortunately McCool Junction answered by pocketing a solid 21 points of their own.
Points were harder to come by in the second quarter for Giltner, with the team only picking up another five points to make the score 33-16 at the half.
