Debbie Ketchum, age 58, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, at her home.
Debbie’s wishes were to be cremated.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 22 at Higby-McQuiston Chapel.   Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.
Debra Jean Ketchum, the daughter of James and Bonnie (Becker) Logue, was born at Yankton, South Dakota on August 6, 1965 and passed away in Aurora, on September 17, 2023, at the age of 58.
She grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1983.   After graduation Debbie worked at the Taco Stop in Aurora.
On March 16, 1987, she married Bobby Ketchum at Aurora. They had two children: Robbie and Darbi.   Debbie stayed home to raise their family.   After the kids were older, she worked for several years at Hometown Variety.
Debbie’s hobbies included antiquing, repurposing furniture, photography, doing arts and craft projects, decorating and gardening. Debbie had a huge heart for all animals.   She loved feeding the birds.  Debbie left behind her cats: Felix, Ginger and Copper and dog, Lyric.
She was preceded in death by her father; two infant brothers; an infant sister; in-laws, Bob and Verla Ketchum and best friend, Anna Bowens.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bobby of Aurora; Robbie Ketchum of Aurora and Darbi Ketchum (Dillon Denny) of Hampton; grandson, Samuel James Denny and mother, Bonnie Logue of Aurora. She is also survived her three brothers, Mark (Judy) Logue of Grand Island, Jason (Janet) Logue and Darren (Carmen) Logue, all of Aurora and sister, Christine (Jamie) White of Aurora.   She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
