Shari Asher

Shari Asher, age 67, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at CHI St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. 
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 16 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Rev. Mark Seiker will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora, with the Rosary at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in care of family to be designated at a later date. Shari Ann Asher, the daughter of Eugene ‘Gene’ Joseph and Georgia Ann (Becker) Strotman, was born at Grand Island, on August 21, 1959, and passed away in Grand Island, on September 10, 2026, at the age of 67.
She grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1977. After high school Shari attended and later graduated from the Patricia Stevens Fashion & Business College in Omaha.   
Shari was united in marriage to Randy Asher on September 29, 1979 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Shari was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten
Shari was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Randy of Aurora; daughter, Sara (Adam) Darbro of Aurora; grandchildren, Riley (Levi) Zimmer of Beaver Crossing and Calan Darbro of Aurora and great-granddaughter, Remi Zimmer.   She is also survived by her brother, David (Linda) Strotman of Aurora and many other relatives and friends.
