David Leon Milne, 85, of Grand Island, formerly of Aurora, passed away on October 4, 2026 at Riverside Lodge. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 7 from 5-7 p.m., at All Faiths Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8, at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home. Dan Naranjo will officiate.
David was born on September 24, 1941, in Red Oak, IA, to Merril and Betty (Lovell) Milne. He was raised and received his education in Griswold, IA, graduating from high school in 1960.
On June 15, 1963, David was united in marriage to Karen Wagner. Two daughters were born into this union. The couple made their home in Griswold for many years as farmers, before moving to Wyoming for ten years. After leaving Wyoming the family settled in Aurora, where David worked for Hornady Manufacturing for over 20 years, until his retirement in 2023.
In his spare time, David enjoyed collecting toy tractors and working on antique cars and tractors. In his younger years, he was also a tractor puller.
Those left to cherish his memory include, his daughters, Jennifer (Ivan) Hongsermeier, Brenda (Dustin Schinlaub) Dreher; grandchildren, Dr. Natasha (Danny) Hongsermeier-Graves, Noah (Kasey) Hongsermeier, Dalton Milne, and Tytania, Wyatt, and Kamdyn Dreher; great-grandchild, Lavon Hongsermeier; cousins, Susan Lovell and her daughter, Gina Else; brother (sister)-in-law, Jim and Sandy Wagner and their daughter, Amy Jo Bouchard.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; parents; cousins, Mike, Tom, and Rob Lovell; and nephew, Scott Wagner.
The family would like to extend special thank you’s to Brookstone Hospice, Home Instead, Mary Lanning Cancer Center, and Riverside Lodge for all of their care and compassion for their dad.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
