Barb Perry, age 70, of Phillips, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Tiffany Square in Grand Island.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 28 at the First Christian Church. Pastor Penny Schulz will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church.  Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church.  Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Barbara Jean Perry, the daughter of Clarence and Edith (Olson) Lash, was born in Lincoln, on November 29, 1951 and passed away in Grand Island, on June 21, 2022, at the age of 70.
Barb’s family moved to Aurora when she was a year old.  She grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School. Barb continued her education at Southeast Community College in Lincoln to become a dental assistant.  Barb worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Jones in Aurora.
Barb married Wendell Perry on August 12, 1972 in Aurora. They lived near Phillips.  Barb worked doing seed corn research at Northrup King and later as a pharmacy technician at Ben’s Rexall and Midwest LTC before retiring.
Barb was a member of the First Christian Church. She volunteered at the Hamilton County Food Pantry and enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center in Aurora and delivering Meals on Wheels.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, Wendell Perry of Phillips; brother, Jeff (Dottie) Lash of Ozark, Missouri; 2 nephews, Kyle (Lindsey) Lash of Morse Bluff and Levi (Jenna) Lash of Round Rock, Texas and several cousins and many friends.
