Anna Marie Moore, the daughter of Oscar and Esther (Gustafson) Elge, was born in Hamilton County, on October 2, 1925 and passed away in Aurora, on Dec. 18, 2020, at the age of 95.
Anna Marie grew up on a farm north of Aurora with her parents, three sisters and one brother.  She graduated from Aurora High School in 1942 and Trinity Bible College in Chicago in 1947.
On Nov. 13, 1948 she was united in marriage to Carl Moore at the Monroe Free Church just five days before the big blizzard. They started married life in Grand Island. Carl farmed northeast of Aurora for three years before joining his father farming east of Phillips from ’56 to ’60, when they purchased their own farm southwest of Aurora. Their two children attended school in Giltner.  Carl passed away in 2011.
Anna Marie really enjoyed their travels with the Friendship Force when they visited South Korea, Germany and Sweden. This was followed by spending two years in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) Africa where Carl worked on the Covenant Churches’ three mission stations. Anna Marie made many friends among the African people, and taught many women to crochet using nylon fishing line, which was the only thing that was available. Carl and Anna Marie moved to Aurora in 2000.  Anna Marie enjoyed her flower gardens, blackberries, and voodoo lilies outdoors and her hibiscus and African violets indoors.  She knitted and crocheted well over 200 hats and caps for World Vision.  She enjoyed quilting over the years on many quilts at the Hamilton County Senior Center. And she loved the opportunity to teach others the arts of crochet, knitting and tatting.
Anna Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters and brother; infant son, Paul; and granddaughter, Janna.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her daughter, Becky Nash of Centennial, Colorado; son, Jon (Melinda) Moore of Aurora; 4 grandchildren, Jason, Melissa (Bonifas), Matthew, and Quinn; and 8 great-grandchildren and many other family members, and dear friends and neighbors.
