Grace Dight

Grace Dight, age 77, of Aurora, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Westfield Quality Care.

Grace Louise Dight, the daughter of William and Sylvia (Lawson) Allen at Emporia, Kansas on July 19, 1948 and passed away in Aurora, on October 26, 2025 at the age of 77. 
Grace grew up in Emporia and attended school there.  Grace worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years in nursing homes located in Gothenburg, North Platte and Aurora. 
Grace was married to Donald Saunders, Sr. and they had two children, Donald and Christina.   Later on in life, Grace married Charles Dight and another daughter, Sherry, blessed their home. 
Grace was a devoted mother and grandmother whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Bev Dunmire, Myrtle Zeigler, Vickie Parker, Billie Naverette and former husbands, Charles Dight and Donald Saunders, Sr. 
She is also survived by her son, Donald (Amber) Saunders of Aurora; two daughters, Sherry Allen and Ben Johnson on Aurora and Christina (Billy) Yancy of Gothenburg; grandkids, Charles (Kendra) Saunders of Gothenburg, Cierra (William) Cothern of Hastings, Mason Saunders of Lincoln, Stefanie Allen and Talon Darwin of Aurora, Alden Marshall and Jenna Wehtje of Gothenburg, Emily Saunders of Knoxville, TN, William Saunders and Kegan of Lincoln, Dawn Saunders of Aurora, Joy and Adrienne of Grand Island and Aubri Zysset of York and many great-grandkids.   She is also survived by four sisters, Dinna Linkenauger of North Carolina, Karrie Mead of Nebraska, Nancy Johnson of Kansas and Carol Jones of Arizona and many nieces, nephews and other family members that loved her dearly.
