Curtis Hiill, 40, passed away January 25, 2024 after health issues at CHI Health St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home are entrusted with the arrangements.
Curtis continued his giving spirit as an organ donor.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Chapel. Pastor Luke Haidle will officiate the service.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later time.
Curtis was born December 30, 1983 in Ogallala, to Ricky Eugene and Peggy (Bunner) Peck.
He graduated from Centura High School in 2002.
He was a single father to his two children, McKenzie and Jaden Hill. His children were his world and he did everything he could for them. He loved getting them into sports and loved being their assistant coach. He enjoyed taking them on camping trips and spending time with them whenever he could.
He is survived by his children, McKenzie and Jaden Hill; his mother, Peggy (Bunner) Mankin and her significant other Michael Senff, along with his children, Kaleb, Tiffany and Brent Senff; sister Ryan (Hill) Shaw, along with her three children, Lane (Lauryn), Shyann and Wyatt Shaw and great nephew, Easton Shaw; stepsisters, Coral Mankin, Sara (Scott) Venteicher, along with her two daughters, Mayeli and Katalina Venteicher; grandmother, Rita Bunner; and many other family and friends.
Curtis is preceded in death by his father Ricky Peck, paternal grandparents, Robert and Marylou Peck, maternal grandfather, Gordon Bunner; aunt, Rhonda (Bunner) Horn and uncle, Donald Peck.
