Robert, “Bob,” was born to George and Blanche Andrews on the family farm near Aurora, on July 12, 1929. Bob was the youngest of 5 children. He attended the Aurora schools through the 8th grade when it became necessary to leave school to help on the farm.  Bob married Naomi Umbenhower on October 29, 1950. Bob and Naomi were blessed with 4 children.
Bob worked at Chapman Farm Equipment for many years and eventually worked at Hornaday. He retired from Hornaday in 1992. After retirement, Bob and Naomi sold their home in Phillips, almost all their belongings and headed south.  Casa Grande, Arizona was home for 26 years where Bob enjoyed swimming and bike riding.  They made the rounds back through Nebraska every summer until their last trip in 2016 when Naomi’s poor health no longer allowed the long drive. After Naomi passed away in 2018, Bob made the decision to move back to Nebraska to be near family. He moved into East Park Villa in October 2018, where he lived and played cards until his last days.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, George and Blanche Andrews, brother Lawrence Andrews, sisters Evelyn Babcock, Leora Watson and Thelma Umbenhower, daughter-in-law Beverly Andrews and granddaughter Kaysie Layne Andrews.
