For a second weekend in a row, Aurora was dealt a tough hand with its two opponents on the slate.
The Lady Huskies kept it close for some time against Columbus Lakeview Friday, but couldn’t keep pace through a 47-31 loss before similar issues at home Saturday against Beatrice, losing 66-36.
Aurora coach Kelly Krueger mentioned that the four teams the Huskies have played thus far have been tough matchups, but will certainly help moving forward.
“We are growing and learning from each game,” the coach said. “I’ve been really pleased with how this group responds after each game. They come to practice focused and understand the little details we need to work on to make us better for the next game. We always say we don’t want to be playing our best basketball in December. We’re taking steps forward to start playing our best basketball in February.”
