Once the rain let up, the softball action took off at a high pace Wednesday from the 4-Diamond Sports Complex.

The Lady Huskies were in action as part of the Central Conference tournament, going 1-1 on the day.

Aurora, the No. 3 seed, had trouble slowing down York in the opener as the Dukes picked up an 11-6 win.

York scored five in the first and four more in the third to lead 10-3 at that point.

Zoe Johnson had two RBIs for Aurora in the loss as part of a six-hit effort for the Lady Huskies.

Aurora bounced back well, defeating Columbus Lakeview 11-2.

The Lady Huskies scored at least two in every inning played, as Rylee Oslen, Taryn McKinney, Taylor Janda and Kaelin Sparr each had two RBIs.

Aurora is set for the B-7 subdistrict tournament set for Monday alongside York, Columbus Lakeview and Blue River.
