Friday night roundup Week 3

Body

Aurora moved to 3-0 on the season with its second consecutive road game, downing Lincoln Pius X Friday night to highlight the area efforts on the gridiron.

The Huskies used another solid ground game effort to wear out the Thunderbolts in a 21-7 victory. Despite that, however, the Huskies scored two of its three first half touchdowns through the air as Sam Jones tossed TD passes to Landon Danhauer and Dylan Ronnau.

Aurora won the turnover battle 4-0 and will turn its focus to a home game next week against Norris.

H&H had its second consecutive home game Friday but was unable to pick up enough offensive momentum in a 30-0 loss to Hershey. The Bearcats lost the turnover battle 3-1 and missed on multiple fourth down opportunities. H&H will feature a long road trip west to Bridgeport next week.

Coming off a bye, the Giltner Hornets hit the road for the first time this season, but ended up on the wrong end of a 47-20 score at Diller-Odell. It's Homecoming next week for Giltner, hosting Ansley-Litchfield.

HPC was off this week and takes its 2-0 record on the road next Friday to Stuart in an undefeated matchup.
