City council approves payments, construction on several projects near end

City council members voted for and passed a series of pay applications to construction companies for the South Interceptor (A Street) and Streeter housing subdivision additions, according to city administrator Rick Melcher.

SaBell earns Dist. 1 Commissioner seat The County Commissioner District 1 race was a close one, but Nicole SaBell was named the winner of Tuesday’s primary election. The unofficial totals for the District 1 seat showed SaBell with 232 votes, just ahead of her opponent Joseph Sandmeier with 213.

Kyle and Carrie Peterson opened a new business May 4, debuting Lincoln Creek Family Ventures LLC as a garden and landscaping provider at their home on 1872 East 14 Road.  This project has been a culmination of their interests, hobbies and an adventure for the whole family.

Theater hires new staff, moves to weekly movies

Aurora’s 12th Street Cinema has started showing movies every week as of May 7 after hiring two new managers.  Bruce Hall, president of the Hamilton Reaction Inc.
