“Crickets!” That’s how Hamilton County officials described on Monday the level of communication from the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) since the abrupt closure of the Aurora drivers license office at the courthouse a month and a half ago.

One of the many examples of students benefitting from funding provided through the Aurora Public Schools Foundation is this Merry-go-cycle, which has become a favorite for Aurora preschoolers. Pictured giving it a whirl are, from left: Loralai Farrand, Merrick Reiker, Avery McCartney, Owen Lewis and Benjamin Gomez. The equipment was actually purchased by HCF’s Women in Philanthropy as part of a growing partnership between the two foundations.
