ANR's annual workforce edition focuses on the next generation
Every generation faces the question of where it will build its future. For a growing number of young workers in Hamilton County, the answer isn’t somewhere else, but right here at home.
For this year’s workforce recognition edition, ANR introduces seven young people who have decided either to stay home and start their careers right out of high school or college, or who decided during their post-secondary education to come back home to work in familiar surroundings near family and long-time friends.
Some pursued the traditional route of getting a two- or four-year college degree, while others have taken a more streamlined approach, going directly from high school into the workforce using skills they developed during their secondary education.
A common denominator for all of them, however, was that desire to build their future in the place they call home.
We’ll also hear from leaders of area industries to learn how they are reaching out to recruit employees in ways that are unique to this generation and tailored to today’s new workforce realities. See special edition, beginning on Page C1.
