People in a small community wear many hats, which certainly rings true for Marwin ‘Marv’ Rogers. This Hordville community member has found many ways to be involved in the town since moving in.
In honor of the 40-plus years of service on the Hordville Village Board, he was recently presented a plaque by his fellow board members. Though he has stepped down from his role on the board, his impact in the community can still be felt.
Rod Blase, a board member, noted that Rogers first purchased a gas station in Hordville before closing it and working at the co-op station.
After speaking with the town clerk, they found that Rogers had also been the town marshal after retiring, a position he held for five years.
