The Aurora City Council approved the second of three required readings to advance annexation of a parcel in the Kremer 5th Subdivision during a very brief meeting Jan. 25.
Lot 2 of the Kremer Subdivision just north of A Street has been proposed for annexation into the city limits. The council is expected to hear a third at final reading at its next meeting, Feb. 8.
The council also approved a pay application for $85,167 from Rutjens Construction, Inc., for work completed in the Streeter 3rd and 4th subdivisions.
Adam Darbro, the city’s utilities superintendent, reported that 1,600 linear feet of sewer main has been installed, as well as 280 feet of water main near Cottage Park. Infrastructure work continues on now, he said, on schedule.
