The 4R Board took time during Monday’s meeting to reaffirm the district’s Safe Return to School (COVID) plan -- a topic at the forefront of many minds in the county as the case count spikes again to start 2022.
“So, number one, we are required now with federal guidelines to review this every six months,” Supt. Jody Phillips began. “We’re at five months, so it’s a good time now that we’re back. I’m not proposing any changes to this plan. I like this plan.”
According to Phillips, the district is operating in the “Clear Phase” of the district’s plan, which according to information on the district’s website means “full district operations (with) no restrictions.”
“The only change is on page four of (the) document, which just takes out the language that was down below (the description of phases) as far as whether it be quantifying number of cases or qualifying certain levels of risk, or cases,” he added. “It just states the phase and it states what type of operations or restrictions we would have in each of those stages.”
