Berniece Luthy shares recipes, baking skills via fair

Berniece Luthy’s kitchen is a source of not only meals, but a place where she has worked on creating and sharing her recipes for pies, breads and more. Not content with just serving her baked goods to friends and family, she took her cooking to the Hamilton County Fair.

From youth to adulthood, LaBenz keeps love of pies strong

A 15-year-old girl stands in the Hamilton Motor Inn, washing dishes. This was the unassuming start for Summer LaBenz and her lifelong relationship with baking pies. “My boss got me into the cooking part of it and then he started teaching me the pies,” she recalled.
