Rollie Carter

Rollie Carter, age 84, of Aurora, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at his home following a yearlong battle with metastatic lung cancer. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21st at the United Methodist Church, 1104 A St., Aurora.  Rev. Michelle Reed will officiate.

Olivia Santos

Olivia Santos, 92, of Omaha, formerly of Central City, Nebraska died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021 at Heritage at Legacy in Omaha. Private family graveside services were held in the Central City Cemetery.  Olivia was born on Aug. 7, 1929 in Bucaramanga, Colombia, S.A.

Karen Maurer

Karen Maurer, 63, of Columbus, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, at the Columbus Community Hospital surrounded by family and friends. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 10:30 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus with Rev. Cory Burma officiating.

Rev. Herschel C. Dugan

Rev. Herschel C. Dugan, 90, died Aug. 9, 2021 in Olathe, Kan. He was born on April 13, 1931 to Charles and Harriet (Van Buren) Dugan in Mankato, Minn. After graduating from high school in Mankato, he attended Phillips University in Enid, Okla., before seminary at Drake University in Des Moines.

David Jensen

David Jensen, age 73, died on Sept. 1, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colo., after a year long battle with cancer. Per his wishes, he was cremated and there will be no services. David Michael Jensen was born to Maynard and Lois (Salman) Jensen on Oct. 22, 1947 in Aurora.

Herman Fredrick Nofer

Herman Fredrick Nofer went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021.  He died peacefully at his home in Aurora, Nebr., with his wife and daughter by his side. Fred was born July 4, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to Herman and Dorothy (Calvert) Nofer.

Ron Cyboron

Ron Cyboron, age 77, of Aurora, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 at Memorial Community Care of Aurora. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Aurora, NE. The Rev. Mark Seiker will be the Celebrant.

Jerry Epp

Jerry A. Epp of Henderson, died on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Henderson at the age of 80.  He was born May 8, 1941 to Robert and Anna (Peters) Epp on the family farm west of Henderson, where he lived until he moved to town in 2007.
