Lorence R. Blase, of North Platte, passed away July 20, 2021, at Great Plains Health at the age of 89. Lorence was born to William and Lydia Blase on March 5, 1932, in Hordville where he grew up.

JoAnn Stiefel, age 77, of Aurora, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Westfield Quality Care. JoAnn’s wishes were to be cremated. The family will have a gravesite memorial at later date. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Charles "Chuck" Pinkham

Charles “Chuck” Leslie Pinkham, 78, of Minden, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at CHI- Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Minden Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Tom Barnes officiating.

Ann Rau

Ann J. Rau, age 80, of Grand Island, passed away July 14, 2021 at CHI St. Francis Medical Center. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Aurora United Methodist Church, 1104 A Street.  A private family graveside service will be held at the Aurora Cemetery.

Frank Chapman

Frank Andrew Chapman was born March 15, 1950 in Lincoln, Neb., to Archie (AD) and Delight Chapman. He passed away peacefully in Grand Island at St. Francis Medical Center on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 71 years of age.

Amanda 'Mandy' Hansen

Amanda “Mandy” Hansen, age 30, of York, died Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Lincoln, Neb. She was born April 23, 1991 in Lincoln to Phillip E. and Beverly Jean (Pinneo) Hansen. Mandy worked at Little Jewels Daycare in York. She enjoyed watching movies and spending all the time she could with her family.

Greg Penner

Greg J. Penner, 61, of Grand Island, passed away July 11, 2021 at CHI-Health St Francis. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 16 at 10 a.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home.  Father Jorje Canela will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m.

Betty Wengler

Betty Wengler, age 89, of Aurora, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Westfield Quality Care. Inurnment will be at the Aurora Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 24. Memorials may be made to the family to designate at a later date. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Eva O’Dean Coleman, age 89, formally of Ainsworth, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 13 at the Bassett Memorial Cemetery.  Rev. David Feddern officiating.

DeAnna Athey, age 34, of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, CHI-St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 11 at the East Hill Church of Christ, 1122 Delaware Avenue in York.  Rev. Glenn Hawley will officiate.
