There was music in the air Friday night in Aurora, and lots of it. Though oppressive heat and humidity was perhaps a factor in the size of the crowds at both the Hamilton County Fair and the downtown Bands on the Bricks concert, there was strong support for both gigs.

Explanation needed on city’s Hwy 34 decision

Dear Editor:Last week’s article about reducing Hwy 34 through Aurora to two lanes with turning lanes made me feel like I was being forced to trade a decent pair of scissors for a useless pair of plastic kindergarten scissors. Just because something is “safer” doesn’t mean its better.
