Tuesday was a big day for Hamilton County World War II veteran Carol Robotham. The 101-year-old resident of Memorial Community Care (MCC) in Aurora was presented with a special medal of recognition for her service by Lt. Gov. Joe Kelly at a ceremony in the activity room at MCC that afternoon.

Tempo set to relocate to Escape building

Having spent five years at its downtown square location, the Tempo Performing Arts Studio will be relocating classes to the building previously operated by Escape Aurora in May.

After moving upstairs to the District Courtroom, hearing more than an hour of testimony and holding a lengthy discussion, the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners decided to wait to make a final decision on a conditional use permit for S&P Irrigation on Monday morning.

A Nebraska-based radio and podcast host shared information with a group of approximately 70 area residents in Aurora Thursday explaining what he believes are significant safety concerns regarding the CO2 carbon capture pipeline project planned in Hamilton County and others like it.

When opening Lincoln’s first specialized pelvic floor physical therapy clinic, Empower Physical Therapy, Aurora grad Stefanie (Hansen) Urbom was determined to empower patients in understanding pelvic health.“We’re very passionate and we feel like everyone deserves care,” Urbom said.

Gov. Pillen appoints Judge Bergevin to Nebraska Supreme Court

Gov. Jim Pillen has announced his appointment of the Honorable Jason M. Bergevin of Columbus as an associate justice to the Nebraska Supreme Court representing the Fifth Judicial District. The announcement was made on Jan. 2.
