A 10-unit income-based housing subdivision built in 2010 is owned by a local nonprofit organization as of April 30, adding to the Aurora Housing Development Corporation’s growing list of assets.

Full of laughter and anticipation for what the future will bring, 10 graduating seniors walked the hallways one last time and celebrated all they have achieved at Giltner High School’s commencement ceremony Sunday afternoon.

The pre-dawn hour was early, but spirits were bright for the Hamilton County Prayer Breakfast on the National Day of Prayer Thursday at The Leadership Center. A crowd of all ages, estimated at near 90, turned out for the annual event which started at 6:15 a.m.

The Edgerton Explorit Center hosted a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, May 1 for the reimagination of its exhibit, Strobe Alley, which honors the life and work of Dr. Harold “Doc” Edgerton. Cutting the ribbon during the ceremony was Edgerton board president, John Nelson.

The Giltner Class of 2025 graduation ceremony is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. in the high school gym at Giltner Public Schools. The 2025 class valedictorian is Sophie Faltys with Kaitlyn Kothe as salutatorian.This year’s speaker is Chris Vaught, Giltner Public Schools’ business manager.
