Aurora was a happening place this weekend, with hundreds of alumni, family and friends joining the fun for an action-packed A'ROR'N Days celebration. Kids were coated with suds during Family Night activities Thursday.

The Aurora City Council approved plans for additional work on the Streeter Sixth Addition as part of the pending 1st Street construction project during its June 11 meeting.

The Giltner School Board approved to form a co-op wrestling team with Harvard Public Schools last week, making wrestling an additional extracurricular for Giltner High School students, according to principal and athletic director Kurt Finkey.

Youth center paints summer with kindness

As it prepares for a new season of summer camps and other special programs, the Hamilton County Youth Center decorated its exterior wall with a new mural on May 24. The mural painted by Colorado artist John Van Horn was mounted on a wall to the left of the center’s main entrance on 12th Street.

Edgerton strobes shine for 60 years

For six decades now a set of four of Dr. Harold “Doc” Edgerton’s strobes have been flashing out from near the top of the Hamilton County Courthouse spire to warn aircraft of the tall obstacle and reminding local residents of one of the town’s favorite sons.
