As temperatures keep climbing many people are on the lookout for a refreshing way to beat the heat. This is where local kids can step in by providing the classic lemonade stand. Setting up a table of their own last week were Eleanor and Nolan Geiken, with the help of their grandmother Laura Jobman.

Soon the sun will be shining and our days will keep growing longer. For Will, the pups and I this means it is time to get the camper out and hit the road. For years we would crash in his parent’s RV before we finally decided that it was time to bite the bullet and get one of our own.

A 15-year-old girl stands in the Hamilton Motor Inn, washing dishes. This was the unassuming start for Summer LaBenz and her lifelong relationship with baking pies. “My boss got me into the cooking part of it and then he started teaching me the pies,” she recalled.
