Lemonade stands a staple in summer heat

As temperatures keep climbing many people are on the lookout for a refreshing way to beat the heat. This is where local kids can step in by providing the classic lemonade stand. Setting up a table of their own last week were Eleanor and Nolan Geiken, with the help of their grandmother Laura Jobman.

From youth to adulthood, LaBenz keeps love of pies strong

A 15-year-old girl stands in the Hamilton Motor Inn, washing dishes. This was the unassuming start for Summer LaBenz and her lifelong relationship with baking pies. “My boss got me into the cooking part of it and then he started teaching me the pies,” she recalled.
