It was nearly a perfect night on the hill for Zoe Johnson.The Aurora senior tossed a complete game winner Thursday over rival York, including a no hitter through five innings as the Huskies blanked the Dukes, 8-0.

Gage Friesen ran like he was mad at the grass Friday night. The High Plains senior scored four rushing touchdowns as HPC defeated Palmer 51-8 in its home opener. Friesen tallied more than 100 rushing yards for the second straight week with two of his touchdown rushes going for 40-plus yards.
The sun shone brightly as the game began on a picture-perfect night for the season opener, a contest the Huskies dropped to Pierce, 41-28. Aurora defenders move in here to stop Brenden Bolling for no gain.
