    Winter sports practices for basketball and wrestling opened Monday for all area teams. First competitions are still a few weeks away with the Aurora girls basketball team opening Dec. 5 at Adams Central with the Aurora boys wrestling team kicking things off Dec. 7 at Cozad. The ANR’s annual winter sports preview will be available in the Dec. 11 edition complete with photos and previews on all area teams.
