Messere wins Lakeview Invite

    Aurora senior Julia Messere posted the low round of the day Thursday on a soggy Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus, winning the Lakeview Invitational by a single stroke.

    Messere made the turn in 43 and finished with a 44 to win individual medalist honors with a round of 87, whileLibby Langan of Columbus Scotus was one back at 88. Fellow teammate Delainey Phillips placed 5th with a 93, leading the team to a third place finish. Other Aurora scores included Lylah Mitchell at 103, Jessica Rodriguez at 114 and Natalie Thompson at 120.
