High Plains and Hampton each began CRC tournament runs Saturday at York High School.

The Lady Storm began its tournament with a thrilling 25-21 and 25-23 win over Shelby-Rising City, moving on to the quarterfinals to take on Exeter-Milligan.

However, Exeter-Milligan took care of business with the Storm in the quarterfinals, 25-16 and 25-20.

Hampton wasn't so lucky, losing in straight sets to Cross County in the quarterfinals, 25-11 and 25-14.

Giltner, still dealing with a high school quarantine, will not participate in the CRC tournament. Its next scheduled contest is Friday with a triangular against Sandhills-Thedford and Southern Valley in Dunning.
