Aurora’s offense exploded for several big plays Friday in a clash of Top 5 C1 teams, giving the Huskies a decided advantage in a 34-13 win over Boone Central.
Coming off an emotional season-opening win over Northwest, coach Kyle Peterson said his team wasn’t quite as sharp against the Cardinals, but found a way to win ugly.
“It was a very physical game at the line of scrimmage and I thought for the most part Boone Central did a pretty good job of bottling things up in our run game,” Peterson said. “We were able to find some explosive plays, busting Carlos (Collazo) for a couple of big runs, and ultimately that was kind of the difference in the game.”
