Word has been received of the death of Wilbur Ruebsamen, brother of Neil Ruebsamen of Aurora.
Wilbur was born and raised on a farm south of Giltner graduating with the class of 1955.
He then went to UNL and graduated in 1960 in the ROTC with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served three yeas in the Air Force which took him to several countries.
He married Harriet Palmer in 1960 and two children were born to this union, Bryan and Suzanne. They were later divorced.
He later married Suzanne Blevins and they moved to Prescott, Arizona. They enjoyed traveling and many trips together.
Survivors include: his wife Suzanne and children and step-children, his sister Merna of California and brother Neil.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Alberta, brothers Daryl, Dale and Marvin and sister Beverely. Funeral services are pending.
