Memorial service for Janice Shaw will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14 ,2025 at Aurora United Methodist Church, 1104 A Street, Aurora. Followed by a graveside service at Aurora Cemetery. 
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place at the time of her death. Janice’s memorial service is being held at this time. 
Janice Delayne Shaw, 83, of Auburn, was born on February 18, 1937 in Sioux City, Iowa to Herman “Red” and Doris (Macklem) Hirchert.  She moved with her family at a young age to Chadron, where she attended school and graduated from Chadron High School. Janice was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Robert Shaw on July 26, 1958 and to this union four sons, Ronald, Kenneth, Patrick and Robert were born.  The couple raised their family in Aurora for many years before retiring to Arkansas.  They had recently moved to Auburn, to be closer to family.  Janice passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020, at her home in Auburn, having reached the earthly age of eighty-three years, two months and nine days. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother William “Bill” (Marian) Hirchert, daughter-in-law Stacey Shaw and sister Jerry (Robert) Armstrong.  
She worked at the Aurora Medical Clinic for several years while the children were growing up. Her second career a sewing business was born out of her love for sewing, knitting and embroidering.  She was a member of Eastern Star for 55 years and did various volunteer work.  Her biggest passion was watching all kinds of Sporting events.  She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren from peewee football and T-ball all the way through college. She was a true Cornhusker at heart. She had many hobbies which included cards, puzzles, yard work, traveling and just visiting family and friends. 
Janice is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Shaw of Auburn, sons: Ronald (Cindy) Shaw of Auburn, Kenneth Shaw of Madisonville, LA, Patrick Shaw of Aurora, Robert (Beth) D. Shaw of Atlanta, GA, 8 grandchildren, Brian (Cassie) Shaw, Stephanie Floyd, Chelsea (Seth) Kerwin, Betsy (Micah) Laufenberg,  Alexandra Shaw,  Samuel Shaw, Ian Shaw and Nina Shaw; 13 great-grandchildren, Travon and Harper Shaw, Baylee, Delany and Kenady Floyd,  Miranda and Carsyn Rist, Emmitt Neujahr, Phoenix, Maddix and Jax Laufenberg, Jasper and Lakeleigh Shaw and sister-in-law Shirley (Ken) Cobble of Smyrna, TN, and many other relatives and friends.
